Heritage BC's World Wars Monuments and Memorials Map Goes Live
/Over 190 submissions of World War monuments and memorials in communities across the province have been included so far in an interactive map as part of a project initiated by Heritage BC last year.
The organization invited the public to make submissions to the World Wars Monuments and Memorials Map in November, 2015, and stories, heritage, and history came in from all over the province. Commemoration came not only as cenotaphs, but also as trees, mountains, even aircraft. Over 100 more submissions will be added to the map in the next phase of the project.

The project is funded in part through the Department of Canadian Heritage's World War Commemorations Community Fund, the Heritage Legacy Fund and generous in-kind support from SplitMango.
