Canada Council Seeks Input on Strategic Plan 2016-2021
/The Canada Council for the Arts' current strategic plan comes to an end in March 2016, and work is now underway to prepare a plan for the next five years. The next plan will outline the Council’s vision and directions for what it will achieve in this period.
The Canada Council is conducting a survey of stakeholders to help guide decision-making about what its priorities should be for the next five years.
The Strategic Plan 2016-21 will be structured around themes announced at the Canada Council’s Annual Public Meeting on January 19. The Council’s commitment to equity and the contribution of the arts to Canada’s diversity will be embedded in each of the themes. Support to young and emerging artists, and engagement of youth will be a priority focus throughout the plan.
