Nominations Open For 2016 Order Of British Columbia
/Nominations are now open for the 2016 Order of British Columbia, and this is a great opportunity for our sector to give recognition to distinguished members of the arts, culture, and heritage community.
Established in 1989, the Order recognizes persons who have served with the distinction and excelled in any field of endeavour benefiting the people of the Province or elsewhere. The Order represents the highest form of recognition the Province can extend to its citizens.
Any resident of British Columbia, or former long-term resident, who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, excellence or distinction in any field of endeavour benefiting the people of the Province or elsewhere is eligible.
Anyone is welcome to nominate a deserving individual asa candidate for appointment to the Order of British Columbia. Nominations and letters of support occur annually and must be received by the first Friday in March to be considered in the same calendar year.

All nominations are confidential. Should your nominee be unsuccessful, you will be informed by letter and have the option to carry forward your nomination for consideration in the following year’s selection process.
