Call for Presentations, Panels and Demonstrations at Paper Points North
/The Friends of Dard Hunter, a contemporary hand papermaking organization, is inviting submissions of proposals for talks, panels and demonstrations related to paper and papermaking for Paper Points North, their 2015 annual meeting held this year at the Banff Centre.
The Friends of Dard Hunter connects, encourages, and educates anyone interested in paper and papermaking. The primary focus of Paper Points North is to question how we honour the traditional methods of papermaking while expanding into new methods of research, innovation, education, and technology.
Potential topics for talks, panels, and demonstrations could include:
- Historical figures and practices in papermaking
- Sustainable practices
- Slow Craft
- Book arts
- Collaboration
- Educational strategies
- Papermaking tools (old and new)
- Innovation through techniques and research.
