BC Communities on Culture Days Top Ten of 2015 Lists
/Richmond and West Kelowna/Westbank First Nation top the lists of cities and towns across the country with the highest number of registered Culture Days activities in 2015.
Culture Days' Top Ten Cities and Towns lists Richmond as the city with the most activities registered in the population category 50,000 to 499,999. Other BC communities included in the Top Ten in this category were North Vancouver (#7), Kelowna (#9), and Kamloops (#10). West Kelowna/Westbank First Nation placed first in the category of communities across the country with a population of 49,999 and under, and Vernon placed tenth. Vancouver placed fourth in the population category 500,000 and over.
Founded in 2009, Culture Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a national network of cultural connections devoted to providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in, and appreciate, all forms of arts and culture.
Through the three-day national celebration at the end of each September, hundreds of thousands of artists and cultural organizations in hundreds of cities and towns come together and invite Canadians to participate in free interactive and behind-the-scenes activities to discover their cultural spirit and passion.
