More Than 17,000 Artworks Now Available Through Canada Council's Art Bank

The Canada Council for the Arts has re-launched its Art Bank website, featuring the largest and most exciting collection of Canadian art online.

Anyone can explore this unique collection of over 17,000 contemporary art works purchased by the Canada Council over the past 40 years. Visitors to the website can search the recently digitized collection, create a gallery, and share their own personal gallery with friends.

All of the artworks are available for rent to both private and public organizations in Canada.

The Art Bank was established in 1972 to raise awareness of the remarkable breadth and quality of Canadian art being produced at the time – and to make it available to a wide public across the country. The collection spans 4 decades of the best in Canadian art and is currently valued at over $71 million.
