Call for Artists Description:
Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre (MACC) seeks a dance artist interested in facilitating community-engaged arts practices with older adults.
Moberly is a community cultural hub located in South East Vancouver. It is a dedicated facility for the development and delivery of the arts in everyday life. Opening individuals to an art experience is an integral part of a healthy, inclusive community. MACC works with artists to empower community to be creative through all art disciplines. At MACC we are excited to support projects that focus on nurturing the creative voices of all participants; building on their personal experiences and backgrounds to realize a collaborative creative outcome.
Located in South Vancouver at 7646 Prince Albert Street in Moberly Park, MACC is an intimate and accessible black box theatre space with 1600 sq ft of professional sprung dance floor, a meeting room, kitchen facilities and a medicinal herb garden.
The project will run from: from September 2025-June 2026. There is potential for a second year, September 2026-June 2027. The project includes:

- Approximately 30 Weekly, 2-hour workshops between September 2025-June 2026 (weekly workshop length to be determined with artist)

Artists will be supported by the Moberly Programmer at their project site, and a language translator during workshops (as needed). Artists will also take part in a community of professional practice, gathering for shared learning with other artists and staff.
