Call for Artists Description:

Vancouver Civic Theatres is inviting local visual artists to apply for group exhibition opportunities in 2026. VCT’s Visual Arts Program provides artists with a paid opportunity to display their work in the lobbies of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Exhibitions will be showcased throughout the theatre’s lively lobby spaces and will be available for viewing by thousands of ticket holders each week.

For 2026, VCT will select up to eight individual artists or four artist collectives to participate in seasonal exhibitions. The available exhibition periods are:

• January to March
• April to June
• July to September
• October to December

The opportunity is open to emerging, mid-career, and established Metro Vancouver-based visual artists. Priority will be given to artists who have not exhibited at a VCT venue in the past three years. Artists and collectives may submit only one application per year.

Fees/Compensation:

$800 per exhibiting artist or member of a collective
