Call for Artists Description:

Salt Spring Arts is accepting applications for their 2025 Artist in Residence program. DEADLINE – October 15, 2024

Residency Dates: April 21 — June 2, 2025

- 6 weeks on a picturesque 4-acre property on Salt Spring Island
- 560 sq. ft. studio space - 200 sq. ft. open plan rustic cabin
- 1200-book reference library
- $1,000 (CAD) honorarium
- Passionate, supportive + curious art community
- Unplug and focus on creativity in this rural setting

The Salt Spring Arts residency program is located on the largest of the Southern Gulf Islands, on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. The AiR program is an opportunity for regional, national and international artists to work in the vibrant environment of Salt Spring Island. The program provides time and space for artists to focus on innovative projects and foster community engagement in their practice.

To apply for Salt Spring Arts' 2025 Artist in Residence program, you must submit an application form; only electronic submissions are accepted. Information and application can be found on the Salt Spring Arts website.

AiR 2025 application requirements:
- Applicant Details (name, address, contact information)
- Project Proposal (project title, description, artist biography and CV)
- Support Materials (examples of previous work)
- Community Engagement Proposal
