Vancouver Comic Arts Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting local cartoonists with the community, and celebrating comics, graphic novels, and the people who make them.

Volunteer Opportunity Description:
We are currently recruiting NEW Board Members At Large for VCAA for a two-year term.
We are looking to expand and strengthen our Board and prepare for future growth and diversification.
The Board governs, approves strategy and engages in discussion and debates on relevant issues. We are seeking a diverse and inclusive group of members who will work together as a governing body.
We are committed to improving accessibility, equity, and inclusion throughout our organization, and people of all backgrounds are encouraged to consider this opportunity to serve as creative citizens.
Responsibilities:
Provide governance to the non-profit organization.
Enhance capacity in collaboration with staff and volunteers.
Ambassador for VCAA at cultural and arts events including VCAA’s Vancouver Comic Arts Festival.
Board members have an expected time commitment of six hours a month (board meetings, preparing for board meetings, participating in committees and attending special events)
Previous Board experience is an asset.
