Job Description:
Ballet BC is seeking an Artistic Coordinator to support the artistic department with dancer schedules, touring administration and financial processes as well as providing general administrative support within a collaborative team environment. Reporting to the Senior Touring and Company Manager and working closely with the artistic team and dancers, the ideal candidate will be an organized and experienced administrative professional with a background in the arts. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Assists the Senior Touring and Company Manager in communications with company artists, company representatives, guest artists and collaborators.
- Works closely with the Artistic Director and Rehearsal Director to draft and disseminate daily studio/dancer schedules and maintain an up to date annual calendar of rehearsal, performance and tour dates.
- Coordinates special event, photo shoot or interview dates with dancer schedule as requested by Development/Events team or the Marketing team.
- Supports the Artistic team and HR in tracking dancer hours and information.
- Books teachers and pianists for company classes and coordinates schedule for wardrobe fittings.
- Assists with audition applications/processes for new dancers and provides administrative support for Nutcracker children’s auditions and rehearsals with the contracted guest company.
- Books travel and accommodation for guest collaborators.
- Works backstage shifts in rotation with other artistic department staff during local performances.
- Supports the Senior Touring and Company Manager in preparing for national and international tours including booking travel and accommodations, researching health services and tracking touring data.
- Assists the artistic team with financial processes such as payment requisitions, expense reimbursements, credit card reconciliations, and per diem requests for the touring company, guest artists and collaborators.
- Assists with applying for visas and work permits.
- Provides general admin support for the Artistic department and completes research tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Experience working in a dance environment, performing arts company or equivalent preferred.
- Strong computer literacy including Excel/Google Sheets and excellent written language skills.
- Possesses flexibility, ability to multitask, prioritize and problem-solve independently, as well as collaboratively.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work within a team environment.

Remuneration:
Annual salary of $51,000 to $53,000
