Call for Artists Description:
INTRODUCTION
The City of White Rock is seeking proposals from interested BC artists and/or artist teams for a mural on the Balsam Street Comfort Station, located at 15457 Marine Drive, where Balsam Street meets Marine Drive, at White Rock Beach. This will include carrying the design through and working with a company to vinyl wrap the windows pictured with the city’s support. The art commissioned will illustrate the theme of Vintage White Rock – leaning into the idea an old postcard.

An artist’s statement/written concept about the proposed work based on the theme. Max. 200 words.

How you will engage the community.

Availability to complete the work by the end of September 2025.

Examples of previous work (up to 5 images). Digital images should not be more than 2mb each.

The value of the submission is $28,000 and is inclusive of:

The City will be responsible for wall preparation, base colour and anti-graffiti product application
