Reporting to the Executive Director and working with the Events Coordinator, the Events Assistant facilitates Place des Arts’ summer events in all aspects.

Reporting to the Executive Director and working directly with the programming team, the Summer Program Assistant will facilitate all aspects of the Summer Fun! Art Camp, for children ages 5 and up, and the ArtReach Camp, an outreach initiative aimed at children who face socio-economic barriers to our regular summer programs. The Summer Fun! program will provide up to 2500 spaces for children and youth to experience an art camp that includes programming in visual arts, drama, dance, and music.

The Vancouver International Fringe Festival, produced by First Vancouver Theatrespace Society, is a theatre festival which runs for eleven days every September. Pursuing a mission to provide "Theatre for Everyone", the Fringe brings live performance of all kinds and for all audiences to Vancouver. The Fringe runs from September 8-19, 2010, on and around Granville Island.

Contract Fundraiser for 4 - 8 week contract term

The VSO School of Music is a new state-of-the-art community music school slated to open in January 2011. Located behind the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Vancouver, this new 25,000 square foot educational facility will include 16 instruction rooms, 2 classrooms, 6 practice rooms, ensemble room, piano lab, percussion room, computer listening stations, gift shop and cafe. In addition, the School will have an acoustically isolated 120-seat recital hall with recording and distance learning capabilities.
